About The Project:
The Howard Thurman Center for Common Ground relocated from the basement of the George Sherman Union Hall into its new home at 808 Comm Ave. The new center will occupy two-thirds of the existing street-level space formerly occupied by the 808 Gallery, which will continue to operate in the remaining area on the first floor. The project will increase the Center’s footprint fivefold.
Scope of work:
Draper worked hand-in-hand with Otis Elevator to fabricating custom swing car operating panels with a decorative linen textured stainless steel white gold finish and custom interiors that highlight the 808 gallery’s fine art aesthetic.
