The Benjamin Residences

The existing elevator interiors at the Benjamin Residences had become extremely damaged after just a few years of service. Draper was called in to design a new concept with more durable materials. The challenge was the elevator’s hoisting equipment had very limited weight tolerances. By utilizing Chilewich fabrics, decorative metals both textured and reflective, as well as a custom engraved accent panel on the rear walls we were able to install six (6) custom elevator interiors that match the lobby aesthetic and that will hold up well to everyday traffic of the riding public. The careful and selection of materials and details helped to create interiors suited for a class “A” space, notably vaulted style handrail standoffs and T22 Black Onyx mirror that gives the appearance of glass mirror without the weight and with better durability.

Over the weekend Draper’s own Jared Giblin & Bra

Over the weekend Draper’s own Jared Giblin & Brandon Fleming both earned bronze metals 🥉in their respective absolute brackets at the Grappling Industries Jiu Jitsu Competition!

Brandon is a highly accomplished grappler and former MMA fighter. Currently he is a purple belt training out of @dgracieplymouth

Jared is a blue belt training out of @connorsmartialartsacademy in Norwood, MA

Both are members of IUEC Local 4. When they are not working on installing elevator cab interiors they are often training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu!

Draper recently installed cab interiors at the Pi Alley Parking Garage in Boston’s financial district. Ownership wanted durable finishes and a warm inviting look. @forms_surfaces fused stainless steel was selected with a diamond finish. The porcelain tile stone floor and base gives the cabs a first class look separating their aesthetic from your typical parking garage.
